This is a device recently released by ATP which is designed to make Geotagging (adding location information) your pictures easier if your camera doesn’t include a GPS.
It’s a pocket sized GPS device that keeps a log of your location at different times. When you’ve finished taking pictures you insert the memory card into it and it uses the time stamp of the picture in order to determine where it was taken.
It works with SD, Memory Stick or MMC memory cards and claims to be compatible with most cameras. Though from what I’ve read it only works with JPEG images.
It looks like an interesting piece of equipment that could come in handy in the future. It’s just over 75 pounds so I think I’ll pick one up at some point in the future.
